What is a safety certificate ?
A Safety Certificate (or Safety Standards Certificate) is an official document confirming that a vehicle meets the minimum safety standards required by the Ministry of Transportation.
When do I need a safety certificate?
You need a Safety Certificate if you are:

- Registering a rebuilt vehicle
- Re-registering a vehicle after it has been unplated for a certain time
- Importing a vehicle into the province
